El Chilar Rodriguez and Colonna Brothers recalled certain ground cinnamon products following tests that indicated elevated lead levels.

Lead exposure can impact every bodily system depending on the duration of exposure and the person’s age or body weight, the recall states.

The El Chilar Rodriguez recall affects 127 cases of their Ground Cinnamon Canela Molida with lot codes D300 EX1024 and F272 EX1026. The Colonna Brothers recall affects 1.5-ounce jars of Marcum Ground Cinnamon with lot codes 10DB and 0400B1 and 2.25-ounce jars of Supreme Tradition Ground Cinnamon with lot codes 09E8, 04E11, 12C2, 04ECB12, 08A, 04E5 and 09E20.

Johnsonville turkey sausage recall initiated due to potential rubber contamination

Salm Partners LLC initiated a recall for specific batches of Johnsonville turkey kielbasa sausage due to potential contamination with rubber pieces.

The recall affects approximately 35,340 pounds of turkey kielbasa sausage packaged in 12-ounce containers. The packaging features best-by dates of May 17-18, 2024, and i establishment no. P-32009.

While Johnsonville has not received any reports of adverse health effects related to the recall, the company advises consumers to either return the recalled turkey sausage to the point of purchase or dispose of it safely, according to the recall notice.

Consumers can contact Johnsonville’s director of global corporate communications at 888-556-2728 for further assistance.

TJX issues children’s pants recall over choking hazard

TJX recalled approximately 15,000 sets of Tommy Bahama children’s pants sets, sold primarily at Marshalls outlets, due to potential safety hazards.

The affected pants sets feature plastic components on the ends of their faux drawstrings, which may detach and present a choking risk to young children, the recall notice states.

The recall affects roughly 14,500 sets distributed in the United States and an additional 720 sets in Canada. The sets are Tommy Bahama brown stretch twill children’s pants paired with a blue or green butter fleece crewneck top, featuring rib cuffs with a drawstring.

TJX advises consumers to promptly remove the recalled children’s pants sets from their children’s possession and eliminate the choking risk by cutting off the faux drawstrings, according to the recall notice. Consumers can return the recalled items to any Marshalls store for a complete refund.

Yamaha power adapters recall issued due to shock, electrocution risks

Yamaha Corp. of America initiated a recall for approximately 34,500 units of its Yamaha PA-10 AC Power Adapters due to potential safety hazards.

Cracks may develop on the power adapters, leading to electrical wiring exposure and posing risks of shock and electrocution, the recall notice states.

Yamaha sold these power adapters, featuring date codes 2126 to 2319, individually as replacement parts or bundled with Yamaha analog mixing consoles at various audio stores nationwide, on shop.usa.yamaha.com and through amazon.com from June 2021-Nov. 2023.

Yamaha encourages consumers to stop using the recalled power adapters immediately and advises them to reach out to the company directly by phone at 844-703-5446, by email or through its website to receive a complimentary replacement unit.

Chrysler recall issued due to incorrect weight capacity label

Chrysler announced a recall affecting more than 36,000 vehicles due to concerns regarding potentially inaccurate weight capacity labels.

The recall affects 30,061 Dodge Hornet SUVs manufactured between Aug. 31, 2022-Feb. 13, 2024, and 6,032 Alfa Romeo Tonale SUVs produced between Feb. 9, 2023-Feb. 10, 2024.

Drivers may unknowingly exceed the safe weight capacity of their vehicles due to reliance on the misleading vehicle capacity weight labels, potentially leading to accidents without prior warning, the recall notice says.

Chrysler says it plans to affix overlay labels to the tire placard information on the affected vehicles. The automaker clarifies the recall does not stem from a defective part but rather from an engineering oversight during the production process.

Dealers and vehicle owners will receive notification about the recall on April 24, 2024, outlining the steps to rectify the issue, according to the recall.
