Johnsonville parent company Salm Partners LLC issued the turkey sausage recall for 35,340 pounds of its turkey kielbasa sausage. The recall involves 12-ounce packages containing a single Johnsonville Polish turkey kielbasa produced between Oct. 30 and 31, 2023, marked on the side with best-by dates of May 17 and 18, 2024, and establishment number P-32009.

The Johnsonville recall was issued through the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) after customers complained of rubber in the ready-to-eat turkey kielbasa.

The turkey sausage was distributed to retailers across the United States. The FSIS says it is concerned some of the turkey sausage is in consumers’ refrigerators.
