TJX issued a recall for around 30,600 of its Tommy Bahama and Martha Stewart brand Nest Swing Egg Chairs over concerns they can tip over or collapse when a consumer is seated in them.

T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods and Homesense stores nationwide sold the recalled Nest Swing Egg Chairs between December 2018 and April 2022, according to a recall notice published June 16 by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

TJX advises consumers who have purchased the egg chairs, which retailed from between $300 to $350, to immediately stop using them and return them for either a full refund or a gift card to T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods or Homesense.

Alternatively, consumers can contact TJX to receive instructions on how to disassemble the egg chairs to dispose of them and receive either a full refund or a store gift card, according to the TJX recall notice.

TJX says in the recall notice it received 27 reports of incidents in which an egg chair has tipped over, with 19 injuries occurring, including scrapes, cuts and soreness and one instance of broken ribs and a collapsed lung.

Consumers with more questions about the recall can contact Marshalls online or by phone at 888-627-7425, T.J. Maxx online or by phone at 800-926-6299, Homegoods online or by phone at 800-888-0776 or Homesense online or by phone at 855-660-4663
