TJX Recalls Vegan Chocolate Products Over Undeclared Milk

TJX Vegan Chocolate Undeclared Milk Recall Overview:

The TJX Companies has recalled certain of its Pimlico Confectioners and Keats London brand vegan chocolate products over concerns they may contain undeclared milk, presenting an allergy risk.

TJX initiated the recall after discovering that certain vegan chocolate products labeled “Dairy Free” may have contained milk, according to a recall notice published by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on May 1. 

The recalled products included in the TJX recall are Pimlico Confectioners Vegan Fine Hazelnut Truffles, Keats London Vegan Hazelnut Dark Chocolate and Keats London Vegan Irish Cream Truffles, according to the TJX recall. 

TJX Recall Cites ‘Manufacturing Error’ As Cause Of Undeclared Milk

TJX says the issue was caused by a “manufacturing error” and that the recalled vegan chocolate products were distributed at retail stores nationwide including Marshalls, HomeGoods, T.J. Maxx, Homesense and Sierra. 

Consumers who have purchased any of the recalled vegan chocolate products are being advised to return them to their place of purchase or contact the store’s customer service department to receive a full refund. 

TJX says it has received one report of illness in connection with the recall.

In February, TJX recalled 7,900 of its Festive Lights Hanukkah Menorahs after receiving multiple reports of the products catching fire.
