Our viewers have shared their settlement payouts on Facebook and our own website, helping us and other consumers keep track of this successful settlement year.

For some settlements, Top Class Actions viewers have received thousands of dollars as a result of their participation.

The settlements below are just a sampling of the incredible success our viewers have had this year in collecting settlement payments.

Freight Forwarding Class Action Settlement

After years of litigation and appeal, this freight forwarding deal provided huge settlement payouts to individuals who purchased freight forwarding services from several providers. One Top Class Actions viewer posted a check for more than $7,000!

Subway Credit Card Receipt Class Action Settlement

Claimants, including one of Top Class Actions’ own team members, in this Subway settlement received checks and PayPal payments for $52.92. This settlement resolved claims that the sandwich shop printed too much information on consumer receipts in violation of the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACTA).

XL Foods E. coli Contamination Settlement

This contamination class action settlement differed from other suits because the manufacturer is based out of Canada. This mean that, in order to resolve claims regarding a 2012 beef E. coli contamination, the class action first had to make its way through the Canadian court. After years of litigation, the settlement finally resulted in payments. Some of our readers received $20 in compensation while others received up to $1,700!

Bertolli Olive Oil Settlement

The Bertolli Olive Oil settlement was notable not only in its success but also in its size. Despite the settlement being appealed, a resolution was quickly reached and so many of our Top Class Actions readers were able to receive payment. Some settlement payouts were as low as $2, but one viewer received $375 after using Bertolli products in his olive oil soap making business.

Suunto Dive Computer Settlement

Top Class Actions viewers were able to receive up to $525 for defective Suunto scuba equipment. The settlement resolved claims that the products contained defective Aqua Long depth pressure sensors, making the dive computers inaccurate and putting divers at risk.

Art Van Furniture Marketing Phone Calls Settlement

Although spam texts and unwanted calls can be annoying, TCPA settlement payouts can help compensate for that! In April, Top Class Actions viewers started to receive payments from an Art Van Furniture telemarketing settlement. Some of our readers received as much as $114.77 in compensation for the unsolicited phone calls.

Gannett Telemarketing Calls Settlement

Payment seemed like a pipe dream in this Gannett TCPA calls settlement while it was under appeal for more than two years. However, patience paid off and our viewers were able to collect $163.91 checks after the appeal process resolved.

DuPont Paint Antitrust Settlement

Claimants in a DuPont paint price-fixing class action settlement also received payment this year. The settlement resolved claims that DuPont conspired to increase paint prices by increasing the price of titanium dioxide, a common paint ingredient. Some of our viewers received checks worth up to $105.17.

Scotts EZ Seed False Advertising Settlement

While some settlement can take years to resolve, this Scotts EZ seed class action settlement was quickly awarded final approval. No appeals were lodged for the settlement, meaning that claimants started to receive payment less than 90 days after final approval! Several of our viewers have reported receiving $45 settlement payouts for the false advertising deal.
