Six Flags agreed to pay $11.24 million as part of a class action settlement to resolve claims it charged illegal processing fees for Knott’s Berry Farm tickets.
The Knott’s Berry Farm settlement benefits consumers who were charged a processing fee when purchasing non-season tickets to Knott’s Berry Farm or Knott’s Soak City from Six Flags between June 28, 2020, and July 1, 2024.
The class action lawsuit claims Six Flags violated California law by charging undisclosed processing fees when consumers purchased tickets through www.knotts.com or www.cagreatamerica.com. The fees allegedly violated state law requiring businesses to disclose such charges before consumers complete a purchase.
Six Flags is an amusement park company that operates parks around the country, including Knott’s Berry Farm in California.
Six Flags has not admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to an $11.24 million class action settlement to resolve the processing fee allegations.
Under the terms of the Knott’s Berry Farm settlement, class members can receive a cash payment of $8. Class members who file a claim will receive their payment as cash, either through electronic payment or a mailed check. Class members who do not file a claim will receive their $8 as a credit for future purchases on SixFlags.com.
The deadline for exclusion and objection is Dec. 22, 2026.
The final approval hearing for the Six Flags settlement is scheduled for March 30, 2027.
To receive a settlement payment, class members must submit a valid claim form by Dec. 22, 2026.
