Natural Organics NaturesPlus Keto Sugar Gluten Recall Overview

  • Who: Natural Organics, Inc., is recalling four lots of NaturesPlus Keto Living Sugar Control Capsules 90 count
  • Why: The capsules were found to contain gluten, which is not declared on the packaging
  • Where: The product was distributed nationwide in the U.S. and in Kenya, Spain, Trinidad, United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom

Natural Organics is recalling four lots of its NaturesPlus Keto Living Sugar Control Capsules 90 count because the capsules contain undeclared gluten.

The recall was issued May 6 on the U.S. Food & Drug Administration website.

The presence of gluten was discovered during routine testing, the company said.

“It was subsequently discovered that a raw material that is normally gluten free tested positive for gluten.”

Natural Organics said it is recalling the product because people who have allergies to wheat or gluten run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume gluten.

“Individuals with gluten intolerance may experience minor to severe reactions after consuming this product. This could include upset stomach, diarrhea, fatigue, skin reactions and more,” the recall says.

There have been no reported incidents of illness or adverse reactions in connection with these products to date, the recall said.

The company is not currently facing legal action over the recall, but Top Class Actions follows recalls closely as they sometimes end in class action lawsuits.

The specific products in the recall are: NaturesPlus Keto Living Sugar Control Capsules 90 count, Product No. 82004, UPC Code 097467820043, Lots 1362073, Best By 10/2025 and 1365200, Best By 10/2025; and NaturesPlus Keto Living Sugar Control Capsules 90 count, Product No. Ue82004, UPC Code 097467820043, Lots 1361754, BBE 10/2025 and 1364325, BBE 10/2025.

Consumers who have purchased affected lots of NaturesPlus Keto Living Sugar Control Capsules can return them to the place of purchase.

The news comes after Slimfast was hit with a class action lawsuit alleging it misleads consumers about the amount of calories in its Keto Fat Bomb chocolate snack cups and ketogenic snack gels.
