Coast Dental agreed to a $3.84 million class action settlement to resolve claims it violated the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) with unsolicited phone calls and texts.

The Coast Dental Services settlement benefits individuals who received more than one text message or phone call from Coast Dental within a 12-month period encouraging them to schedule an appointment, despite making a request to not receive future solicitations by replying with a “stop” or similar opt-out instruction.

The class action lawsuit claims Coast Dental sent unsolicited marketing calls and texts to consumers in violation of the TCPA and Florida’s Telephone Solicitation Act. These laws require businesses to obtain prior express written consent before sending marketing texts and making marketing calls.

Coast Dental is a dental practice with locations in Florida, Georgia and Texas.

Coast Dental has not admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to a $3.84 million class action settlement to resolve the TCPA violations class action lawsuit.

Under the terms of the Coast Dental Services settlement, class members can receive either a cash payment or a voucher for an electronic toothbrush sold by Coast Dental.

Cash payments will vary depending on the number of participating class members. Class members can receive up to $59 in cash payments or $99 in vouchers for electronic toothbrushes. Class members who wish to receive a voucher instead of a cash payment must select this option on their claim form.

The deadline for exclusion and objection is Oct. 30, 2026.

The final approval hearing for the settlement is scheduled for Dec. 9, 2026.

To receive a settlement payment, class members must submit a valid claim form by Dec. 24, 2026.
