Consumers hoping to receive class action rebates became eligible to submit claims to join a number of class action settlements last month. 

The class action settlements were made to resolve claims revolving around product defects, hidden feels, inadequate security and omitted ingredients, among other things. 

A business will often agree to a class action settlement without admitting to liability or wrongdoing to avoid litigation and show it is ultimately on the side of its customers.

Whirlpool To Pay $21 Million Following Leaky Dishwasher Claims 

Whirlpool has agreed to pay $21 million to resolve claims dishwashers it sold were prone to leaking.

Consumers who purchased or otherwise acquired certain Whirlpool brand dishwashers from between 2010 and 2018 may be eligible to receive an award of up to $225.

Individuals who are interested in making a claim to join the class action settlement must submit a valid claim form by July 26. 

Chipotle Inks $4 Million Deal To End Hidden Delivery Fee Claims

Customers of the Mexican food restaurant Chipotle may be eligible to benefit from a $4 million class action settlement the company agreed to pay to resolve claims it charged hidden delivery fees. 

The settlement will benefit consumers who placed an order for delivery through Chipotle’s website or app from between May 11, 2020, and Jan. 19, 2022. 

Eligible consumers will receive either a voucher for a free entree or cash. 

Consumers who think they may qualify to benefit from the class action settlement must submit a valid claim form by June 28. 

Rash Curtis To Pay $75.6M To Get Off the Hook for Wrong Number Calls

Rash Curtis has agreed to pay $75.6 million to resolve claims the debt collection company placed excessive wrong number calls without consent. 

Consumers eligible to benefit from the class action settlement are those who received an unsolicited phone call from Rash Curtis between June 17, 2012, and Apr. 2, 2019. 

Eligible claimants will receive at least $86.82 per unsolicited phone call with a reported average of more than $700 in compensation.

Individuals who want to be included in the class action settlement must submit a valid claim form by June 2. 

Herff Jones To Pay $4.35 Million After Data Breach Exposes Info

Consumers affected by a 2021 Herff Jones data breach may be eligible to benefit from a $4.35 million class action settlement made to resolve claims the company failed to prevent the incident.

Eligible claimants must certify to having used a payment card on Herff Jones’ website during the period of the data breach. 

Individuals who can show they used their payment cards will receive a flat payment of $75 while additional compensation will be offered to consumers who suffered fraud as a result of the breach. 

A valid claim form must be submitted by May 12 to benefit from the class action settlement. 

Select Cannabis To Pay $500,000 Over Missing Ingredient Claims

Select Cannabis has agreed to a settlement worth $500,000 to end claims it omitted certain ingredients from the labels of its products. 

Included in the settlement are Oregon residents over the age of 21 who purchased either Select Pax, Select Dabbables or Select Elite cannabis products between Aug. 15, 2018, and Nov. 22, 2019. 

Eligible claimants, who can receive up to $200 in cash, must also show they either have Oregon residency or purchased the product in Oregon and that the packaging on the product did not list botanically derived terpenes and/or medium-chain triglyceride. 

A valid claim form must be submitted by Apr. 29 in order to potentially be included in the settlement.

Antitrust Claims Against Mylan Leads to $264M Settlement

Individuals or entities who paid for or provided reimbursements for Mylan brand EpiPens or a generic equivalent may be eligible to benefit from a $264 million settlement agreement

Mylan agreed to the settlement to resolve claims it collaborated with other medical companies,including Pfizer, to raise the cost of the EpiPens. 

Eligible claimants must have paid for or provided reimbursements for the EpiPens or generic equivalents between Aug. 24, 2011, and Nov. 1, 2020.

Individuals who want to be included in the settlement must submit a valid claim form by July 25. 

Apple Settles for $14.8M in iCloud Storage Suit

Apple has agreed to pay $14.8 million to resolve claims it was wrong to store the data of its users on third party servers

Consumers who paid for an iCloud subscription between Sept. 16, 2015, and Jan. 31, 2016, are eligible to benefit from the class action settlement. 

Eligible claimants will receive a cash payment of an amount that will depend on the amount of successful claims filed. 

While no claim form is required to benefit from the settlement, eligible claimants have until May 23 to decide if they want to receive payment by check or through ACH transfer.

Rodan + Fields To Pay $38 Million To End Claims Lash Boost Product Misbranded

Consumers who purchased Rodan + Fields Lash Boost product may be eligible to benefit from a $38 million class action settlement agreed to by the company. 

The settlement agreement was made to resolve claims Rodan + Fields Lash Boost product is misbranded with consumers arguing it is actually a drug that can cause serious side effects. 

Eligible claimants, who will receive up to $175 in cash or a credit voucher worth as much as $250 without proof of purchase or up to $350 in cash or $500 in credit with proof of purchase, must have bought the product between Oct. 1, 2016, and Mar. 11, 2022. 

Individuals who are interested in joining the class action settlement must submit a valid claim form by Sept. 7. 

Western Union Set To Begin Second Round Of Remission Pay Over Wire Fraud Claims 

Western Union is set to begin the second round of remission payments from the $586 million settlement agreement it made to resolve Federal Trade Commission claims it committed wire fraud. 

Eligible claimants are those who were a victim to the wire fraud perpetrated by Western Union from between Jan. 1, 2004, and Jan. 19, 2017. 

Western Union paid $366 million during the first round of remission payments made in 2017, but funds remain available. 

Consumers who qualify to benefit from the second round of remission payments will get a varying amount of compensation depending on how much they may have already been given and the amount of loss they suffered.

Individuals who want to be included in the second round of remission payments must submit a valid remission petition by July 1.

    I believe I’m not receiving payment for those I’ve filed for because someone else is using my address for them how do I handle that?
