Hempväna Pain Relief Lidocaine Recall Overview:
- Who: Telebrands has issued a recall for its Hempväna brand pain relief products containing lidocaine.
- Why: The recall was initiated over concerns the packaging for the products is not child-resistant as legally required and can present a poison risk for small children.
- Where: The recall is nationwide.
Telebrands issued a recall for its Hempväna brand pain relief with lidocaine products over concerns that they don’t come in child-resistant packaging, making them a poison risk for young children.
Products that contain lidocaine must come in child-resistant packaging, as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act, according to a recall notice published by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission on Apr. 14.
Telebrands says they initiated the recall for around 183,000 units, including Hempväna Ultra Strength Pain Relief Cream with Lidocaine, Hempväna Ultra Strength Pain Relief Cream Turmeric with Lidocaine, Hempväna Ultra Strength Pain Relief Cream Night with Lidocaine and Hempväna Pain Relieving Hand & Body Lotion with Lidocaine, according to the Hempväna recall.
Telebrands is advising consumers to “immediately stop using” the recalled Hempväna brand pain relief products with lidocaine and to store them in an area that is safe and away from child access.
Consumers are also being asked to contact Telebrands directly to receive info on how to properly dispose of the products and to either receive a full refund or a child-resistant closure at no cost, according to the Hempväna recall.
Telebrands To Give Out $15 Coupon Credit Due To Hempväna Recall
Telebrands is also giving out $15 digital coupon code credits that can be used towards the purchase of any Hempväna product on www.Hempvana.com.
The recalled products were sold nationwide by a number of online stores and storefronts, including CVS, Walmart, Rite Aid and Fred Meyer, among others, according to the Hempväna recall.
Telebrands says it has not received any reports of injuries connected to the recall. Consumers who have more questions can contact the company directly by phone at 855-306-1424 or online.
A pair of twin class action lawsuits involving lidocaine were filed against Walmart and Walgreens earlier this month by consumers who argue the companies falsely advertise lidocaine patches they sell as being “maximum strength.”
