SkechersUPDATE: Skechers Toning Shoes Settlement checks were mailed July 12, 2013.

Hundreds of thousands of consumers will begin receiving checks for the Skechers Toning Shoe Settlement within the next few weeks, according to recent court documents.

The Court granted final approval to the Skechers class action settlement on May 13, 2013, which means checks will be mailed by July 13.

More than 520,000 claims were submitted by Class Members, according to the Final Approval Order. Due to the large number of responses, the “maximum amount” allowed under the settlement agreement may be reduced on a pro-rata basis, attorneys told the Court.

The minimum and maximum amounts allowed under the Skechers toning shoe settlement are:

$40 – $80 for Shape-ups;
$27 – $50 for podded sole shoes;
$20 – $40 for Tone-ups (non-podded sole); and
$42 – $80 for Resistance Runners

The deadline to file a claim for the Skechers class action settlement was April 18, 2013. 3. keith says:

    the only winners are the attorneys in this case since the FTC does not seem to protect us

  4. keith says:

    does anybody know the phone # to call i still haven’t heard anything about my claim for my Sketchers

  5. Mary says:

    Does anyone know if I participated in this Sketchers settlement will that mean that the FTC will deny my LCD panel claim? I must not be the only person that purchased shoes and a computer.

  6. Anna says:

    Would totally love in on the lawsuit! I would never submit claims for things that I didn’t honestly purchase and by denying my claims just because I filed in more than one class action is ridiculous. Heaven forbid people buy more than one brand of products!

  7. mr. b says:

    Yes ane i am with you on the class action lawsuit against thr f.t.c.

  8. anne wilson says:

    I am all for starting a class action suit against the FTC for failure to pay claims. Who is with me.? I know a lawyer that would do anything for money.

  9. Wakeelah says:

    I also received a denial letter for Walborn. I received a check on the Reebok, but not the Skechers. I didn’t call the # because it seems like it would be a lost cause. They’re not going to correct anything. I thought the FTC was FOR the consumers, not against. I don’t keep receipts. I buy too much stuff to do that, especially as far back as these suits go. When we submit a claim and it says NO PROOF OF PURCHASE REQUIRED, and then the claim gets denied, that makes NO SENSE! They have no proof that WE DIDN’T BUY IT!!!

  10. Sheila says:

    I called them on 7-25-13 because I had not received my check and they told me to wait another week. Well here it is 9 days later and I am still waiting. This is beyond ridiculous! I’m in Louisiana. I will be calling again on Monday.
