SkechersUPDATE: Skechers Toning Shoes Settlement checks were mailed July 12, 2013.

Hundreds of thousands of consumers will begin receiving checks for the Skechers Toning Shoe Settlement within the next few weeks, according to recent court documents.

The Court granted final approval to the Skechers class action settlement on May 13, 2013, which means checks will be mailed by July 13.

More than 520,000 claims were submitted by Class Members, according to the Final Approval Order. Due to the large number of responses, the “maximum amount” allowed under the settlement agreement may be reduced on a pro-rata basis, attorneys told the Court.

The minimum and maximum amounts allowed under the Skechers toning shoe settlement are:

$40 – $80 for Shape-ups;
$27 – $50 for podded sole shoes;
$20 – $40 for Tone-ups (non-podded sole); and
$42 – $80 for Resistance Runners

The deadline to file a claim for the Skechers class action settlement was April 18, 2013. I sent in
    my CC STATEMENT that showed exactly name of shoes and price. And was sent a letter was denied and then sent the detailed paperwork for the 3 psairs I bought. Not heard a word back! Not right!

  2. Very unfair claim says:

    Hello, I received a letter yesterday advising me that my claim for 5 pairs was denied because of proper proof of purchase. I purchased them for me, my 2 daughters and 2 sisters. I did not have receipts but I did have 2 credit card statements from the Skechers store at the outlet mall where I purchased them. I save my credit card statements for several years and thought that the statements would be proof, but I was evidentially wrong!! This is very unfair, I thought I should receive at least the minimum $200 that you do not need a receipt for?!?! My claim should not have been completely denied because of no proper receipt, but the $200 portion should be allowed. Has anyone else been denied because they did not have proper receipts but should have been awarded the $200 that is not required to have a receipt?? Good luck to everyone else

    I received a letter stating I had to submit proof of purchase “pictures of shoes do not qualify.” Well I know I had sent something in with the form,but don”t remember what it was since it”s over a year. I have all of the shoes, in their original boxex, but don”t have the sales receipt any longer, again it’s been quite a while. only have the receipts for recently purchased. But apparently I’m out of luck for the complete amount of shoes purchased and only entitled to $200. I guess thats better thn nothing. My original claim was for $498 and that didn”t include purchases I had made for my sister and daughter as gifts (i.e. Christmas and birthdays0 ):

    I was originally contacted by Skechers to fill out paperwork for the class action suit. I’m sure they have proof that I bought at least 6 pairs of these shoes as I ordered them directly from their web site. Now I get a letter from their lawyers saying that I’m not eligible for the money since I didn’t send in receipts. I do not normally keep receipts for years, as I’m sure most people don’t.

  6. LeeAnn Russeau says:

    I just wan to know why this letter says the checks are going out in July, but when I call the settlement phone number it does not say this. It says no updates as of yet 07/01/2013 and also the http://www.SkechersSettlement.com does not have any info as of yet either. Is this another Rust thing as the payout admin. If so it will be a guessing game went through this with the other settlements and they are not very professional
