UPDATE: Skechers Toning Shoes Settlement checks were mailed July 12, 2013.
Hundreds of thousands of consumers will begin receiving checks for the Skechers Toning Shoe Settlement within the next few weeks, according to recent court documents.
The Court granted final approval to the Skechers class action settlement on May 13, 2013, which means checks will be mailed by July 13.
More than 520,000 claims were submitted by Class Members, according to the Final Approval Order. Due to the large number of responses, the “maximum amount” allowed under the settlement agreement may be reduced on a pro-rata basis, attorneys told the Court.
The minimum and maximum amounts allowed under the Skechers toning shoe settlement are:
$40 – $80 for Shape-ups;
$27 – $50 for podded sole shoes;
$20 – $40 for Tone-ups (non-podded sole); and
$42 – $80 for Resistance Runners
The deadline to file a claim for the Skechers class action settlement was April 18, 2013. I still have not received any more than the last e-mail stating date check would be mailed. I even took the additional expense of sending a written letter with notification of delivery to notify them that the check had not been received so it could be reissued. Still nothing. I am filing this under insult to injury.
Like so many others, I never recieved a check or a letter or anything from this bunch of thieves. Yes I said thieves. Sketchers put the money into an escrow account, BMC Group was supposed to dole it out, and I am seeing a lot of people here that didn’t get anything. Sounds like the atty’s and BMC may have gotten pretty darn rich here but I can guarantee that we didn’t get anything for all that work involved in dragging out receipts etc. Anyone know how to file a class action against an attorney(s) for violating a court order? Follow the money.
I ALSO RESUBMITTED INFOR. AND WHEN I CALL IN OCTOBER THY SAID THY WE’RE STILL PROCESSING CLAIM. AND MY CHECK WOULD B IN THE MAIL SOON.
Just called and got the same FBS as before. They telling me I must of moved thats whjy I didn’t get it!!!!
Hi everbody. I didn’t receive a check either even after resubmitting info. to the address in the email saying I was due a check back in September.
It is Oct.14,2013 and I still haven’t received my
settlement after re-submitting 6 weeks ago.
I have not yet received my settlement check and I was alerted back in July that it would be mailed within the week. Can you please tell me the status of my payment.
Thank you so much.
diane–it is 100% legit. That is how most of them are coming. Cash it!
HEY ! SKIPPYDOG. DON’T FILL BAD THY DID ME THE SAME WAY. AND YOU ARE RIGHT. IT’S NOT FAIR.
I filed a timely claim but no longer had receipts. 2 or 3 days ago received a PDF letter in my email from the FTC stating that my claim was denied because I had filed claims in other settlements, but if I had receipts I could submit them and MAYBE get a check. So basically I am being punished for having filed claims in other settlements. Not Fair.
