Gibson Farms issued a recall late last month for two lots of its Organic Light Halves and Pieces shelled walnuts over concerns the products may have been contaminated with E. coli.

The Gibson Farms walnuts recall involves Organic Light Halves and Pieces shelled walnuts sold to distributors in the states of California and Washington with the lot codes 3325-043 and 3341-501 and expiration dates of May 21, 2025, and June 7, 2025.

Gibson Farms said it voluntarily recalled the walnuts after it was notified by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of 12 reports of illnesses allegedly being linked to consumption of the products.
