Hundreds of thousands of consumers will begin receiving checks for the Skechers Toning Shoe Settlement within the next few weeks, according to recent court documents.
The Court granted final approval to the Skechers class action settlement on May 13, 2013, which means checks will be mailed by July 13.
More than 520,000 claims were submitted by Class Members, according to the Final Approval Order. Due to the large number of responses, the “maximum amount” allowed under the settlement agreement may be reduced on a pro-rata basis, attorneys told the Court.
The minimum and maximum amounts allowed under the Skechers toning shoe settlement are:
$40 – $80 for Shape-ups;
$27 – $50 for podded sole shoes;
$20 – $40 for Tone-ups (non-podded sole); and
$42 – $80 for Resistance Runners

I have not received a settlement check for my Skechers shoes, possibly because I also filed for other claims? And am I to assume I am somehow barred for life to participate in future claims? This just doesn’t seem right.
Received an email today that I had a check mailed out on the 12th but have yet to receive anything yet… Anyone receive one just recently?

I am more than annoyed with this. I was denied for multiple FTC claims and I have never been paid a claim. I’m not a list from the FTC. I filed a claim for Skechers, New Balance, Ab Circle Pro, Disney Vitamins and Walborne. None of these have been paid to me and I have all of these items at my home. Maybe I should ship all of these items to the FTC and let them deal with it. I haven’t seen a penny from these suits for false advertisement and now I won’t, only because I purchased all of these items.

I got a check for 57.67 for 2 pairs that I bought. I’m not sure if it’s a legitimate check though, as it’s small and like a postcard. I’m worried it’s a scam and am afraid to cash it!
