According to the class action lawsuit, Bayer and Merial collectively sell approximately $2 billion in flea and tick products annually, including Bayer’s line of Advantage, Advantix, K9 Advantix and Advocate products, and Merial’s line of Frontline and Certifect products. These products are sold as treatments for dogs and cats suffering with fleas, ticks, adult flea eggs, larvae, mosquito, heartworm, ear mites and sarcoptic mange. While each one of individual products targets only a limited subset of the pet aliments, all of the products target fleas and their larvae.
The problem, the flea and tick product class action lawsuit states, is that Bayer and Merial make false and/or misleading claims about what these products do. These allegedly false advertising claims include that the products:
* are self-dispersing and cover the entire surface area of the dog or cat’s body when applied in a single limited spot;Â
* are effective for one month and require monthly application to continue to be effective;Â
* do not enter the blood stream of the pet and instead move across the pet’s skin to cover the pet; andÂ
* are waterproof and remain effective following shampoo treatments, swimming, or after exposure to rain or sunlight.
The Bayer and Merial Flea and Tick Product Class Action Lawsuit is seeking to recover damages on behalf of all consumers who purchased the products, as well as an injunction barring Bayer and Merial from continuing to misrepresent what their flea and tick products can do.

I would like to be added to this class action law suit against Frontline for dogs. I started using it on my 4month old boxer and 3days later she began to have seizure like activity. We have spent thousands of dollars on medical bills trying to figure out the problem. Echos, EKGs ans endless emergency vet visits and nothing gave us answers. Until I stopped giving it to her for 2months and she was perfectly fine! I wanted to see what would happen if I gave it to her again, so last month I gave it to her and once again a few days later she collapsed. This is the only thing that makes sense and I’m tired of seeing my baby suffer!
My dog just died from subcutaneous lymphoma very aggressive cancer. We just put the seresto collar on him 2 months before his passing. He had 1 chemo treatment which took care of the lumps all over his body but then returned 1 week later with a vengeance. I need to be added to the list and warn people of this atrocity.
I would like to be added to the suit as well, i just had to have my cat put down because of hyperthyroidism after using the collar on him.
My cat was chemically burned badly by the seresto flea collar. I’d like to be added to the lawsuit.
Our dog passed in July 2020. After going to the vet for her checkup and everything was good. Was given the collar and within a week she passed. And now I’m seeing these pets are around the same time line
I would like to be added to this lawsuit – about 2 years ago my 3 year old yorkie suffered seizures and had a slew of neurological issues costing me more than $10,000 after applying this flea and tick medicine. It was horrible!!!!
We are in the same boat with my dog Kona! Been having seizures since we started giving it to her but the vets say there is nothing medically wrong. Only thing that made sense to them was the reaction to the flea and tick medicine. We’re running at about $4,000 as of right now! Incredibly stressful.
My dog became very sick and could barely move. As soon as I removed the seresto collar she started getting better
We are pretty positive k9 advantix killed our dog. We are breeders and her untimely death cost us roughly $100,000 in potential earnings. Could I get more information? Thanks
My brothers dog almost died from a collar that says on the metal can it was made by Seresto. He has lost his ability to walk, see and smell. Please add him.
I would love to be added to this lawsuit… I just used Advantix on my dog with no health problems and after the second use I am positive it has resulted in a partial seizure within hours of application. I avoided oral flea and tick medications due to this possible risk and thought I was taking the right preventative measures. Only side effect listed on this packaging was skin irritation. I am so upset that I was mislead by this product.
How can Seresto collars be on the market if it is so toxic. Please
Add me to your class action suit. My best friend and service dog died from this collar. I can never replace him or the pain I feel
