DR Power Equipment issued a recall for several models of its leaf blowers and vacuums over concerns the devices could pose a laceration hazard.Â
The recall involves about 57,000 Walk-Behind Leaf Blowers and Vacuums, and Tow-Behind Leaf Vacuums that were sold in the U.S. and around 950 that were sold in Canada.Â
DR Power Equipment said it is concerned pieces from the recalled leaf blowers and vacuums could come loose inside them and be ejected, creating a laceration hazard for both users and bystanders.Â
The power systems company has received 22 reports of loose pieces being ejected from the recalled leaf blowers and vacuums, according to the leaf blowers recall.Â

Consumers are advised to immediately stop using the recalled leaf blowers and vacuums and get in touch with DR Power Equipment to receive a free dealer-installed repair.Â
The recalled leaf blowers and vacuums were sold on the company’s website and nationwide at independent power equipment stores from September 2014 through January 2024 for between $1,300 and $4,000.Â
