Top Class Actions viewers are starting to receive checks in the mail from a class action settlement that accused credit card transaction processing company Central Payment of violating the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.
According to comments and posts on the Top Class Actions Facebook page,Class Members who filed valid claims for the Central Payment class action settlement began receiving checks worth as much as $106.96 on July 10, 2017.

The settlement resolves claims that Central Payment used an automatic dialer to place calls to cell phones and residential lines without the consent of the call receipient. Central Payment denied the allegations but agreed to pay $6.5 million to settle the TCPA class action lawsuit. The company also agreed to make sure its telemarketing procedures comply with federal laws.
Class Members included all U.S. consumers who “on or after August 18, 2011, Central Payment, or a third party acting on Central Payment’s behalf: called you on a residential or cellular telephone using an automatic telephone dialing system or prerecorded voice; or called you two or more times within a twelve month period on a telephone number that was on the National Do-Not-Call Registry.”

To everyone having a hard time depositing this check. I too had trouble and then I figured it out. You sign it as if there were a space for the signature like a normal check. I used my online banking to take photos for deposit. I had to flip the check upside-down on the side with the signature/mailing address. This worked and allowed me to deposit. If the address is not upside down when you take the photo, it will not work. At least it didn’t for me. Hope this helps!
Thank you so much! It worked on the app for Schools First.
Can’t cash no number to verify.
Did you try cashing it on an online banking app which wont allow it to go through because the back is weird or did you actually go to the bank and they declined it?
Has anyone had any luck going to a bank and cashing it at a teller?
