Polaris recalled more than 20,000 RZR Pro XP and Turbo recreational off-road vehicles as a fuel leak can occur, posing a fire hazard.Â
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website published the recall May 18. It applies to about 20,330 Model Year 2021-2023 RZR Pro XP 4 and Model Year 2022-2023 RZR Turbo R 4 vehicles sold in the United States and about 330 sold in Canada.
According to the recall, a fuel leak can occur at the fuel pump assembly joint on the fuel tank in close proximity to a hot surface, posing a fire hazard.
Polaris received five reports of fuel leaks, including one report of fire so far, it says. No injuries have been reported.
The company is not facing legal action over the recall, but Top Class Actions follows recalls closely as they sometimes lead to class action lawsuits.
Polaris to provide free repair, off-road vehicles recall states
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled off-road vehicles and contact Polaris or an authorized Polaris dealer to schedule a free repair, the recall states.
The dealer will replace the fuel pump assembly free of charge. Polaris notified consumers to stop riding the vehicles and is contacting all dealers and registered owners directly to provide more details about the repair, the recall states.
The recall involves certain VINs of model year 2021-2023 RZR Pro XP 4 and Model Year 2022-2023 RZR Turbo R 4 vehicles. The VIN is on the vehicle’s frame in the left rear wheel well.
In March, Polaris announced it recalled more than 93,000 of its Sportsman ATVs over concerns they could catch on fire and crash. Several companies also recently recalled all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and snowmobiles over safety concerns.Â

I have a razor thathadthis recall.
Please include our razor in this lawsuit.
I bought ours brand new ,paid cash at JJ sports in thunderbay Ont ,,It was a 900 cc RZR XP. Complete garbage. As well as fuel pump issues the main wire harnesses got ripped out on our second fishing trip 60 km back in the bush in northern Ontario to our remote hunting camp. I was forced to walk out. Please include me in your class action. What a disappointment the RZR was.
I have been out of a Ride since a Year
Why did it take so long for a recall to come out how many people died or could have died in the fires
They need a recall on the 7 button displays as well! Mine quit working and its not even over three years old! Then they want to charge over $1500 to replace it!
I have a 21 rzr pro xp4 with this recall, stop ride for over 6 months. Rzr refused to compensate
I too am affected from this recall, it is absolutely unacceptable that we all have spent the amount of money we have to not be compensated for this stop ride recall.
