Baby Brezza Formula ProA class action lawsuit claims that Baby Brezza Formula Pro and Formula Pro Advanced baby formula mixers are defective.

Plaintiff Jon Borgese alleges that the machine mixes less formula than what is required and as a result his child has received poor nutrition in the form of watered down formula, leading to complications and injuries.

The plaintiff also asserts that the formula mixing machines are falsely marketed as automatically mixing the “perfect” amount of baby formula and water.

Borgese says he purchased a Baby Brezza from Buy Buy Baby for $199.99 on Nov. 1, 2019. He claims that, within a few weeks, he noticed that his daughter was not receiving enough nutrition from the formula that was being mixed by the machine.

Borgese argues in his class action lawsuit that his daughter has lost weight while being given formula from the Baby Brezza machines and, due to the defect, has required medical visits.

As a result of the defect in the baby formula mixer machines, the plaintiff says that his child, and other children, have been fed watered down formula with excess amounts of water, which has resulted in physical and mental complications, injuries, and medical expenses.

“These machines routinely mix less formula than required and needed for proper nutritional value,” the Baby Brezza class action lawsuit claims.

The plaintiff says Baby Brezza is aware of these complaints by consumers but has continued to manufacture a defective product. In addition, the Baby Brezza class action asserts that the company has failed to notify consumers about the numerous complaints and has not taken the necessary steps to fix the issue.

“The products had potential risks that were known or knowable in light of the knowledge that was generally accepted in the scientific and medical community at the time of the manufacture, distribution, or sale of the products and in light of reports received and suppressed by Defendants,” the Baby Brezza class action lawsuit alleges.

The plaintiff also states that the defendant failed to warn the plaintiff and potential Class Members as well as their physicians about the serious risk of using the machines.

“Rather than disclose the truth about the dangers of its products, the Defendants continued to market and sell the products,” the Baby Brezza class action lawsuit argues.

The plaintiff claims that the concealment of information and lack of warnings to consumers were factors in causing the harm to the plaintiff and other potential Class Members. If the defendants provided appropriate warnings about the machines, the plaintiff says that he would have never bought or used the products.

“A reasonable person would conclude that the utility of using these automatic formula mixing machines did not outweigh the risk of poor nutrition resulting from watered down formula fed to children, and that the machines should not have been marketed in this condition,” the plaintiff states.

  1. Valerie King says:

I have had the baby brezza formula pro advanced for 2 months. At the last check up doctor said she hadn’t gained any weight. She wasn’t even on the growth chart. I couldn’t understand why she wasn’t gaining until that night I did the research on the machine. I couldn’t believe what I was reading. Parents have proof from doctors that this machine isn’t doing the formula ratio correctly but the company ignores all the problems. No parent wants to know their baby was pretty much starving while using a machine the company praises. This product should be took off the market immediately.

  2. Hanna Reed says:

We just noticed today that our baby brezza looks like it was dispensing more watery formula. I have thought that I had noticed it previously, but figured that I must have been wrong, because I trusted the claims of the product. But after noticing it again today, we tested out if what the machine was mixing was the same consistency as if we mixed it by hand, and they were noticeably different. We are so thankful that we noticed it after only about 2 weeks of using it, but our daughter hasn’t been gaining weight as quickly as she did before we got the machine, and we wonder if it is because of the machine. She was making such good weight progress before we got the machine, so we feel that the machine is responsible. It is heartbreaking to find out that our baby has been getting poor nutrition because of this machine.

  3. Autumn says:

I used my baby brezza for a short couple of days of my sons life because it was not giving him the right amount of scoops causing him to not have the calories he needs

  4. Anthony LoGalbo says:

Our 3 months old baby had been using the Brezza for two months until our PCP said he needed to go straight to the failure to thrive unit at Rady’s Childrens Hospital. He was 9.7 lbs, puking all day long, crying 20 hours a day, and pooping every 7 days. All his tests came back normal. The doctors said he just wasn’t getting enough calories. So we started hand feeding him. He instantly started gaining weight, having normal bowel movements, crying less, and his spitting up was non existent. The culprit was the the Baby Brezza. The hand mixed bottles are so much thicker than the what the Baby Brezza dispenses. My sons growth is in jeapordy now, with risks of brain development issues, and also My wife and I are in debt to the hospital. Plus loss of wages from spending days at Hospital. I feel like The baby Brezza company needs to be held accountable

  5. Amanda says:

I have had the opposite problem of most people. It was Spitting out too much formula. I know it was on the right setting and I was monotonous with cleaning and assembling it properly

  6. Colleen says:

I was sick when I tested my machine and it was giving almost an entire scoop less than it’s supposed to. Emailed the company many times with no response! When you call it says no representative available and to email them. Furious!

  7. Haley Waller says:

I noticed my daughter’s bottles were much darker and thicker when I would make them myself than while using my baby brezza. As soon as I stopped using it she stopped spitting up as much and is going longer between feedings. I am very upset with my brezza

  8. Marie-Krystine says:

Purchase this and noticed that my milk wasnt as dark as when i do it myself. I wrote to the compagny just to make sure i had the good setting. They told me i was right but when i made the test, my baby brezza machine gave me less mile than it should. I write them back and « surprise »… no answer

  9. Kell says:

Purchased due to expecting twins. My twins were born 2 months early they were doing well with weight gain when I brought them home from the nicu noticed they were let gaining like they should have. Started making bottles by hand they are always screaming in hunger and have been gaining weight

  10. Starr Davis says:

Been using breeza for 10 months noticed my daughter was starting to lose weight and would drink her bottles better when I hand made them as opposed to the machine. I now understand why
