Rocker bassinets warning overview:

  • Who: A 5in1 Rocker Bassinet sold at Walmart.com and other websites and imported by Rev Grace Import Inc. is the subject of a warning from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).
  • Why: The rocker bassinets do not meet CPSC’s Infant Sleep Products Rule but Rev Grace Import is not cooperating with CPSC on a recall.
  • Where: The bassinet warning applies across the United States.

A 5in1 Rocker Bassinet sold at Walmart.com and other websites should not be used because it does not meet the Infant Sleep Products Rule from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

CPSC sent a warning on the rocker bassinets but said that importer Rev Grace Import Inc. of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, is not cooperating on a product recall.

The rocker bassinet warning applies to rocker bassinets, imported from China, marked  “Ya.Ya.Ya, 5IN1UPC Code 09331849600139, 01 Rock Sleeper, 02 Dream Centre, 03 Cozy Seat, 04 Travel Bassinet, 05 Rock & Play, Made in China, and Age 1-36 months” on the packaging.

The bassinet warning comes because the product does not meet safety requirements and lacks the markings, labeling and instructions required along with a tracking label containing certain information, such as the date of manufacture, required for children’s products, the warning says.

Include a subhead that includes different information than the headline and attribute

The CPSC is asking consumers to stop using the rocker bassinets immediately because they pose suffocation, strangulation and fall hazards to infants. Consumers should disassemble and dispose of the bassinets.

Contact the CPSC at SaferProducts.gov with any reports of product injuries or defects.

The CPSC recently approved two new rules for infant inclined sleeper and crib bumper products.
