Good morning, Everyone!
I was just looking at my calendar and realized that my kids will be out of school in 6 weeks! I don’t know about you, but I feel like this year has flown by. My youngest started kindergarten this year, which has been somewhat bittersweet for me. Why do they have to grow up so fast?!?!
We launched two new investigations at Top Class Actions. The first one came after a major study linked popular heart burn medications Nexium and Prilosec to a 96 percent increased risk of developing kidney failure and a 28 percent increased risk of developing chronic kidney disease. If you or someone you know took either of these heart burn drugs, check out this investigation.
The second investigation comes after two studies found a link between tears in the aorta and aortic aneurysm and a class of antibiotics that includes Avelox, Cipro and Levaquin. The studies found that there is between a 124 percent and 148 percent increased risk of suffering from this life-threatening side effect. Those are shocking numbers!
Uber reached a major deal last week, which will allow the tech company to retain its drivers’ contractor status in exchange for a $100 million settlement. If you are an Uber driver, find out what this settlement will mean for you.
That’s all for now. Enjoy the last week of April!
Warm Regards,
Courtney Jorstad
