Depressed woman sitting on the floorOne more woman has accused billionaire Jeffrey Epstein of sexual child abuse. Plaintiff Jennifer A. claims that she was abused repeatedly by Epstein when she was in high school. Allegedly, the billionaire took advantage of her financial needs, and sexually assaulted her in his home.

According to Law360, Jennifer has filed a petition in New York court, stating that she wants to wait until after August 14 to file her sexual abuse complaint against the billionaire, because that is when the new Child Victims Act goes into effect.

The New York Child Victims Act was recently passed, and the new law extends the amount of time that victims of childhood sexual assault have to file lawsuits against their alleged abusers. Under the new law, victims can file until they turn 55 years old.

Previously, victims could only file lawsuits against their abusers until they turn 23, meaning that under the old law, Jennifer was too old to file, but under the new laws, she can still make claims against Epstein.

In her petition in the court, Jennifer also states that not only was she abused by Epstein, but a woman groomed her for Epstein, which resulted in her abuse by Epstein. According to Jennifer, she does not know the name of the woman, but has asked the court for an order letting her attorneys depose Epstein to again access to his business records.

Jennifer says that she wants to use these business records to find the name of the woman who groomed her for the assault, according to Law360.

In her complaint, Jennifer alleges that the woman befriended her when Jennifer was in high school. Allegedly, she told Jennifer that Epstein could help her and assist her in career prospects in modeling and acting.

Jennifer goes on to say that the woman eventually took her to Epstein’s home multiple times, and each time Epstein gave her $300 and told her that he wanted to help her family.

According to Law360, the Epstein sexual abuse lawsuit claims that Epstein then began contacting Jennifer directly, and took her to his house. Allegedly, at this point he began a pattern of asking her to massage him while he masturbated, and then would leave her money.

Allegedly, the last time Jennifer went to his house, he raped her. Jennifer says that at this point, she did not go back to his house, stopped contacting him, and transferred to another high school so she would not have to see him again.

Unfortunately, Jennifer is not the only woman who claims that Epstein sexually abused her. Other women have similar stories, saying that when they were teenagers, Epstein coaxed them into coming to his Palm Beach home where he abused them.

In July, Epstein was denied bail for sex trafficking charges. U.S. District Judge Richard M. Berman denied him bail believing that Epstein was still a danger to the public, and could possibly commit more sexual child abuse, reports AP News.

The effects of Epstein’s alleged sexual child abuse is being widely felt, not only by the women who claim that he abused him, but also by communities.

The Miami Herald notes that Epstein donated significant money to charitable causes, and examines the obligation that benefiting organizations may or may not have to consider the ethical implications of keeping Epstein’s money given the extent of the sex abuse charges.

The Herald also notes that he donated $90,000 to the Palm Beach Police Department mere months before he was investigated. The department reportedly did not keep the money, and returned it the day Epstein turned himself in, says the Miami Herald.
