Thinkware agreed to an $850,000 class action settlement to resolve claims that it falsely advertised its dash cameras as having a “Super Night Vision” function.

The Thinkware dashcam class action settlement benefits consumers who purchased a Thinkware F200PRO, X700, DC-M2-FG-IR, DC-M2-FG and F70PRO dash camera between Jan. 25, 2019, and Aug. 31, 2024.

According to a class action lawsuit, Thinkware falsely advertised its dash cameras as having a “Super Night Vision” function. Despite marketing promises about this feature, the “Super Night Vision” function was allegedly only available in parking mode and not while the vehicle was in motion.

Thinkware is a dash camera company that sells a variety of camera products for cars, trucks and other vehicles.

Thinkware has not admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to pay an $850,000 class action settlement to resolve the allegations.

Under the terms of the Thinkware dashcam class action settlement, class members can receive a cash payment based on the number of products they claim in the settlement. Class members who purchased multiple products will receive a larger share of the net settlement fund. Exact payment amounts will vary.

The deadline for exclusion and objection is Nov. 30, 2026.

The final approval hearing for the Thinkware class action settlement is scheduled for Jan. 12, 2027.

To receive a settlement payment, class members must submit a valid claim form by Dec. 14, 2026.
