Top Class Actions viewers are starting to receive checks in the mail from a class action settlement that accused Wells Fargo of violating the Telephone Consumer Protection Act by placing robocalls to consumers regarding overdrafts of their bank accounts.
According to comments and posts on the Top Class Actions Facebook page, Class Members who submitted timely and valid claims for the Wells Fargo TCPA class action settlement began receiving checks worth as much as $42.19 on May 6, 2017.
If you filed a claim for the Wells Fargo settlement, keep an eye on your mailbox because checks are on their way!
The class action settlement resolves allegations that Wells Fargo used an automatic telephone dialing system to place calls to consumers’ cell phones without obtaining their permission first. Wells Fargo denied the allegations but agreed to pay $30.4 million to settle the class action and avoid the risk and cost of ongoing lititgation.
Class Members included “all users or subscribers to a wireless or cellular service within the United States who used or subscribed to a phone number to which Wells Fargo made or initiated one or more Calls during the Class Period (Apr. 21, 2011 – Dec. 19, 2015), in connection with overdrafts of deposit accounts, using any automated dialing technology or artificial or prerecorded voice technology, according to Wells Fargo’s available records.”
The deadline to file a claim for the Wells Fargo class action settlement passed on Jan. 16, 2017.

I received on class action check in the mail back in 2017, however I moved to another location at the end of 2017 and another check went to my old address and was rerouted back to Cross law. I have contacted them via email three times. There response was that they would send the check, but it takes 6 weeks. That was back in March 2018 when initial contact was made. Now they have shit down there email, phone line, and website for this suit and I have not received my check after 5 months.
