The Walmart settlement resolves allegations that the retailer did not financially compensate its Pennsylvania employees for missed rest breaks in violation of federal labor laws as well as Walmart’s employee handbook.

According to the class action lawsuit, hourly workers at both Walmart and Sam’s Club within the state of Pennsylvania did not receive pay for tasks performed off the clock or missed meal and rest breaks.

Walmart denied the allegations and appealed the near $141 million verdict to the U.S. Supreme Court. However, the court decided not to hear the case.

Class Members included all hourly workers employed by Walmart or Sam’s Club within the state of Pennsylvania between Mar. 19, 1998 and May 1, 2006.

The deadline to file a claim for the Walmart employee settlement passed on Oct. 1, 2016.

Well it still isn’t here and I have called and thbe people just keep saying they havent figured out the check amounts yet. This is sad you figured they would be on top of it all.

    1. Mary says:

I called two days ago and they said they have a few more people to finish up with. They don’t have a release date set yet and they can’t give out an amount of your check until your check prints out. May was suppose to be the release date and now June will soon be over; it is so hard to stay positive!

  2. Jordan Clemons says:

Thanks Megan N. I really appreciate that you checked for us! It gives us at least some hope of getting something

    1. Denise says:

      I got mine today.

  8. Linda Richter says:

Just wondering if anyone else has a received a check? Seems like some people got theirs but the rest didn’t. I bet the lawyers got their full share. If it wasn’t for all of us that worked there, they would have got nothing. 49 million dollars seemed like a lot of money for the attorneys to get and some of us are still waiting on our checks?

    1. Megan N says:

I checked and the next batch of checks are set to be sent sometime in May.

  9. Linda Richter says:

    Has anyone else received

  10. Pete says:

Like they say on the tv commercial , “Its my money and I want it NOW !”
