Whole Foods Market 365 Caesar Dressing Recall Overview:

  • Who: Van Law Food Products Inc is issuing a voluntary recall of Whole Foods Market 365 Organic Creamy Caesar Dressing.
  • Why: The product may contain undeclared soy and wheat allergens.
  • Where: The recall is nationwide.

Certain bottles of Whole Foods Market 365 Organic Creamy Caesar Dressing are being recalled as they may contain undeclared soy and wheat, which could be life-threatening for those with allergies.

Van Law Food Products Inc of Fullerton, California, issued the recall April 7 on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) website.

The recall was initiated after it was discovered that the product was distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of soy and wheat allergen, the recall states.

Subsequent investigation by the company revealed the problem was caused by a temporary breakdown in Van Law Food Product’s labeling and packaging processes, it said.

“People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to soy or wheat run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products,” the recall notice says.
