Fans of Trader Joe’s crunchy slaw, beware! The supermarket giant is recalling its Crunchy Slaw with Chicken, Crispy Noodles & Peanut Dressing after hard pieces of plastic were found in the meals.

Luckily, no injuries have been reported to date, and all potentially affected products have been removed from sale, the company says.

Trader Joe’s Customers Told to Toss Recalled Slaw

“If you purchased any Crunchy Slaw with Chicken, Crispy Noodles & Peanut Dressing, please do not eat it,” the company says. “We urge you to discard the product or return it to any Trader Joe’s for a full refund.”

The recalled slaw includes that with the SKU# 94988 and use-by dates of 03/09/22 through 03/12/22.

Trader Joe’s says it sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience.

In November, Trader Joe’s had to recall almost 100,000 pounds of two chicken products due to a possible bone fragment contamination. The affected products were produced by Innovative Solutions, Inc. and included Trader Joe’s chile lime chicken burgers and its unbranded spinach feta chicken sliders, according to the Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service

Also in November, Trader Joe’s had to recall a range of salami sticks that were produced by Pennsylvania company Euro Foods over concerns the product may be tainted with salmonella. The recall of the 2 oz. packages of Citterio “Premium Italian-Style Salame Sticks ALL NATURAL” follows an October public health alert for the products, which advised consumers not to eat, sell or serve the sticks after samples were found to contain salmonella.
