Textron Golf Cart Recall Overview:
- Who: Textron has recalled 6,600 E-Z-GO PTVs and Tracker Off-Road Vehicles.
- What: The vehicles have been recalled because the parking brake catch bracket can wear out and cause the parking brake to fail, posing a crash hazard.
- Where: The recall is being held nationwide in the U.S.
Textron has recalled 6,600 of its E-Z-GO PTVs and Tracker Off-Road vehicles, commonly known as golf carts, due to a crash hazard posed by the parking brake catch bracket, which can wear out and cause the parking brake to fail.
The company said in a recall notice that it had received 19 reports of worn parking brake latch brackets, but no injuries had been reported. It warned consumers to stop using the vehicles immediately.
The recalled PTV and Utility Vehicles, manufactured between March 1, 2021 and June 10, 2021,are used to transport people and material loads. For the serial codes of the vehicles involved in the recall, check the recall notice here.
They were manufactured in Georgia in the U.S., and are worth between $6,000 and $13,000. Textron Specialized Vehicles is contacting all purchasers directly to coordinate a free repair.
