Local Fixe Wheat Recall Overview:

  • Why: The products may contain wheat, which is not declared on their packaging.
  • Who: Local Fixe recalled several of its products.
  • Where: The recall affects products sold and distributed in Douglas County in Oregon.

On Dec. 22, 2021, Local Fixe LLC issued a recall of several of its products for potentially containing undeclared wheat. The products are Classic Lasagna Sheets, Soup Noodles, Dinner Rolls, Pie Dough, Squid Ink – Fettucine [sic] and Fresh Flour Tortillas.

The undeclared wheat may cause issues for consumers who have gluten sensitivities and can cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in consumers who have allergies to gluten or wheat. 

As of the recall issue date, no illnesses had been reported to Local Fixe, which is based in Roseburg, Oregon.

Both the U.S. Food and Drug administration and the Oregon Department of Agriculture are aware of the recall. 

Recalled Local Fixe Products

The recalled products were sold at a farmer’s market and via direct wholesale delivery. All affected products bear lot codes of 44536 or smaller. 

Both the Classic Lasagna Sheets and Soup Noodles are frozen and packaged in brown freeze wrapping paper with an oval Local Fixe label. The Dinner Rolls are frozen and packaged in a plastic Ziploc-style bag with a white label. The Pie Dough is frozen and packaged in white freezer paper with a white Local Fixe logo label. The Squid Ink – Fettucine [sic] is frozen and packaged in a clear plastic bag with a white label. The Fresh Flour Tortillas are packaged in a plastic Ziploc-style bag with a white label. 

If you have purchased any of these affected products, contact Local Fixe for directions on how to dispose of the product and obtain a refund. Customers with questions may also contact the company. Local Fixe can be reached by phone at (541) 580-1955 Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. PST.
