More than 10,000 pairs of NewCosplay-branded children’s one-piece pajamas sold on Amazon are under a recall, as the products pose a burn risk to children.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission website posted six recalls Jan. 19. The six recalls all apply to NewCosplay-branded children’s button-up, long-sleeved, one-piece sleepwear garments in a variety of different characters.
“The recalled children’s sleepwear fails to meet the federal flammability standards for children’s sleepwear, posing a risk of burn injuries to children,” the NewCosplay recalls say.
In total, more than 10,000 sets of the one-piece pajamas were sold on Amazon between October 2021 and March 2022.
While six different importers distributed the products, Suzhou Rongtai Home Textile Co. Ltd. of China manufactured them all.
No injuries have been reported in regards to any of the sleepwear products so far, the company says. It is not facing legal action over the recall, but Top Class Actions follows recalls closely as they sometimes lead to in class action lawsuits.
