J Grubbs Designs issued a recall for 12,275 Windsor Queen Xtrabed Mobile Murphy Beds due to a risk of the beds breaking when opened from the front and a tip-over risk.

The outer case of the Murphy bed can break and fall when opening the bed from the front, posing an injury hazard. The beds can also tip over when not properly attached to a wall, causing an injury and entrapment risk, according to the recall.

J Grubbs Designs sold the beds for $1,500-$1,860 from Nov. 2016-April 2023 on wayfair.com in white, brown and gray colors.

When in the closed and stored position, the Wayfair Murphy beds measure about 62 inches wide and 47 inches tall and have the appearance of drawers. When opened in the bed position, it measures about 62 inches wide and 82 inches long.
