FSIS is investigating multistate outbreak of salmonella with CDC

Fratelli Beretta did not indicate if it has received any reports of illness related to the recall so far. The company is not facing legal action over the recall, but Top Class Actions follows recalls closely as they sometimes lead to class action lawsuits.

FSIS says it is working with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and state public health partners to investigate a multistate outbreak of salmonella.

Consumers can call the Busseto Recall Hotline at 866-552-4916.

The FSIS issued a public health alert in February for certain ready-to-eat meat snacks that contain a recalled wafer.
