Goddess DetoxA class action lawsuit accuses Goddess Detox Inc. of making false advertising claims about the benefits of its Goddess Vaginal Detox Pearls.

Plaintiff Wendy Weiss says she purchased Goddess Vaginal Detox Pearls based on marketing claims made by the company that the product could promote vaginal health, regulate menstrual cycles and pain, increase sexual function, remove old matter from the vagina and uterus, treat infertility, and “detox” a consumer’s body from an old lover.

However, Weiss says that after making her purchase she discovered that the product did not perform as advertised.

Weiss claims that she purchased the pearls from Goddess Detox’s website on Oct. 22, 2019. She notes that the product was marketed as a “Holistic Herbal Vaginal Cleanse” and “Self-Love Inspired Womb Care for Every Woman.”

She says the company advertised that the detox pearl also promotes overall womb and vaginal health. Allegedly, the product contains herbs that “aid in overall womb health and cleaning by working with the body to expel contents that may be working against the overall health of the womb and vaginal area.”

The company then goes on to the claim that “when the herbs in the product are used in vaginal steam it encourages the natural shedding of the uterus, allowing old matter to be removed and new energy to flow into the uterus,” says Weiss.

She says that the product contained two “Goddess Vaginal Detox Pearls” along with two applicators and instructions on how to insert the detox pearls into the body using the applicators.

The vaginal detox class action lawsuit says that Goddess Detox Inc. violates federal regulations by advertising that the product treats medical conditions without being approved by the FDA to do so.

Specifically, the Goddess Detox class action says that the company’s claims that the product can treat infertility is unlawfully because infertility is a medical condition, and therefore a treatment for it must be approved by the FDA.

The Goddess Detox class action lawsuit says that the claims made by Goddess Detox constitute false and deceptive advertising.

Providing one example of how the product is allegedly falsely advertised, Weiss claims that the company advertises the detox pearls as being non-toxic, but the product contains borneol, which Health Canada recognizes as toxic.

Weiss says the product claims to solve problems that do not exist, and inso doing, can actually cause a consumer bodily harm.

When purchasing these pearls you have to keep in mind that all women’s bodies are different. Things that work for one may not work for others. I’ve read multiple reviews on these and some say they don’t work and that they had no results while others say differently. Personally, these worked for me. I’ve had irregular, painful periods since I could even have a period. Not to mention that I suffer from polycystic ovary syndrome. I even had to start birth control at a young age just to avoid having periods due to how painful they were. But about a year ago I came across the pearls and thought I may as well try them and I don’t regret it at all and still use them to this day. If detoxes asked promised, old uterus lining and cysts that my body cannot flush out itself. I used this after my miscarriage and the things that came out of my I couldn’t even describe. Not to mention any bodily fluids that my fiancé has left was also detoxed from my body in clumps. Every time I use these pearls I’m left feeling more refreshed and confident in my body. And the best part is that the herbs DO contain a natural healing remedy. Expecially when it comes to any harmful bacteria that can cause UTIs, yeast infections or any other annoying infections women are so prone to getting at times. So as said before, these may not work for everyone but they did for me and still do.

This comment sounds very fake to me. Not legit at all

You sound very ignorant to the fact.. I agree w her comment and have seen great results w these products in the majority of my clients I recommend them too. I really hate people who are ignorant to the reality of that just like prescribed medicine, herbal products result in a person to person outcome. Now they see entrepreneurs doing well for themselves and wanna dig in their pockets for some change. Smh, I know times are hard for folks rt now, but yall should really be ashamed of yourselves.. ijs.. get a clue and then some morals!

  5. Hayley Pettaway says:

Hi! If only I read this kind of review on the pearls before purchasing them by Goddess Detox. On the first week of February 2020, I had a 6 day cleanse including the 2 herbal pearls. The first 3 days required me to have a pearl in my vagina. One pearl in for 24 hours, and then remove that to then insert the other pearl in for 48 hours. Purging begins about the third or fourth day. I noticed results on the fourth day I believe, and it was frightening to see what left my vagina. Is it normal for clumps of white to appear? There was no pain involved, only the clumps leaving my system. There were thoughts running in my mind of purchasing more for the next month after my period, as it says to do awhile after the menstrual cycle. Now after reading this article, I am concerned with what I have already done.
