Top Class Actions has been following the Hazlin v. Botanical Laboratories Wellesse class action since 2013 but never received notification about the claims process. We try to provide claim filing instructions for every consumer class action settlement, but sometimes we don’t learn about them until it’s too late. In this case, the settlement website was never made public via our usual methods of tracking cases. That’s why it’s so important for Settlement Administrators to include Top Class Actions in their notification plan otherwise qualified claimants may miss out.

The Wellesse class action lawsuit filed by Ed Hazlin and Karen Albence alleged that the makers of Joint Movement Glucosamine participated in a nationwide advertising campaign that informed consumers that just one ounce of the Wellesse joint supplement per day would improve joint health, protect and rebuild cartilage, and improve mobility and flexibility.

Hazlin said he spent $20 for the product only to discover later that the main ingredient in the supplement, glucosamine hydrochloride and chondroitin sulfate, acts as a placebo when it comes to improving joint stiffness and pain.

While the makers of Wellesse Joint Movement Glucosamine – Botanical Laboratories Inc. and Schwabe North America Inc. – denied all allegations of false or misleading packaging they agreed to settle the class action lawsuit for $3.1 million in September of 2014.

Under the proposed terms of the settlement, Class Members included all consumers who purchased Wellesse Joint Movement Glucosamine before May 21, 2014. The initial Wellesse joint supplement class action settlement estimated that each Class Member would receive payment for up to $15 for each 16 ounce bottle of the supplement purchased and up to $18 for each 33 ounce bottle of Wellesse JMG purchased.

The deadline to file a claim for the Wellesse Joint Movement Glucosamine class action lawsuit settlement has passed.

Does anyone know who to contact to make this right? I called the number listed on the paperwork but it is a non-working number. Thanks!
