Settlement checks for the Perrigo glucosamine class action settlement were mailed on Sept. 15, according to the Settlement Administrator. Class Members who filed claims for this false advertising settlement should keep an eye on their mailbox, as they may soon be receiving a check in the mail.
The Perrigo glucosamine settlement resolves a class action lawsuit against Walgreen Co., Wal-Mart Stores Inc., Supervalu Inc., and Perrigo Company of South Carolina Inc., alleging that some of the statements on their glucosamine supplements were false, deceptive and/or misleading.
The glucosamine supplement class action lawsuit alleged that Walgreen, Wal-Mart and Perrigo made misleading representations about their products, including statements that the glucosamine supplements “help rebuild cartilage,” “lubricate joints” and “help provide joint comfort.” According to the plaintiffs, these statements are deceptive because it is not biologically possible to rebuild lost or damaged cartilage.
The defendants deny the allegations but agreed to settle the false advertising class action lawsuit to avoid the risk and expense of trial.
Class Members of the Perrigo glucosamine settlement include all U.S. residents who purchased for personal use, and not resale or distribution, certain glucosamine products between Nov. 1, 2005 and Aug. 1, 2014. A list of the covered products is available here.
Under the terms of the glucosamine supplement class action settlement, Class Members who submitted valid Claim Forms with proof of purchase for a covered product were entitled to a full refund for the actual price of each covered product purchased. Class Members who did not submit proof of purchase with their Claim Form could receive $12 per bottle, up to a maximum of eight bottles per household.
The deadline to file a claim for the Perrigo glucosamine supplement class action settlement passed on Nov. 24, 2014.

Received a check for $29.53, but my bank will not cash or deposit the check because they say it is not valid. They are tiny (half the size of a typical personal check) and the back of the check doubles as the mailing label, so it does not contain the usual info that the back of a check contains.
I signed the back of my check and deposited via mobile deposit and had no problem
did the same thing,,,no problem
