LG Electronics LCD & Plasma TV Class Action Lawsuit

By Kimberly Mirando

LG ElectronicsLG Electronics, Inc. has been hit with a class action lawsuit that alleges it sold certain LCD and Plasma TVs that are “predisposed to premature performance degradation and/or failure.”

The LG Electronics LCD & Plasma TV class action lawsuit claims the company sold these televisions with defective components such as circuit boards, control boards, circuit chips and capacitors that can fail prematurely. Part of this premature failure is due to the components overheating from insufficient cooling fans, heat sinks and other ventilation components.

The allegedly defective television models included in the LG Electronics LCD & Plasma TV class action lawsuit are:

32LC2D
37LC2D
42LC2D
42PC3D
42PC3DV
50PC3D

LG Electronics LCD & Plasma TV class action lawsuit is brought on behalf of all current and former owners of the above named model numbers that sustained a monetary loss incurred from repairing and/or prematurely replacing the LG television and components.

The case is Deborah Moulton v. LG Electronics, Inc. and LG Electronics USA, Inc., Case No. 2:11-cv-04073-JLL, New Jersey District Court.

Our LG TV model 49UF6400 is barely two years old and the left side of the screen has a blue tint. LG service won’t grant me a one time courtesy repair. The repair will cost me nearly $600. This is unacceptable. I am willing to join in a class action lawsuit against LG.

LG deserves to be sued and punished for what he had done on consumer and environment. I believe there is least millions people get hit by their poor product. We demand justice and law to root out the bad from the market place.
