My lg 37lc2d has damaged capacitors, this is very bad for the environment, a cheap component makes the TV worthless, we can pay, but what damage is it doing, millions of tvs destined for the scrap heap, cheap nasty components, is this some sort of joke. And we all disposed of perfectly working old tech for this new tech that does not last 5 minutes.
My LG50PG3000 did the same – video turned off and now I only get sound. I want to be part of the lawsuit. Please tell me what should I do this?
I have a 42LC2D that flashes when you turn it on for a few second but won’t start up. No picture or sound just a black screen. Brought it April 2007. It stopped working 2weeks after the extended warranty expired. Now, I have to look for a repairman to fix my expensive toy that does not work.
My LG42PC3d did the same – turned off and now I only get sound. I want to be part of the lawsuit. Please tell me how do I do this?
I have a 55LD520, 15 months old, and it shut off yesterday and will not turn back on. It flashes “LG” and then goes black again. LG service, after a 75 minute phone call with 4 reps, basically said “too bad” it was our problem. LG products seem to work well until just past the warranty problem. Are they programmed this way? This is the 2nd LG we had the same problem with, the first one was a 42-inch.
My 60PV250 model of two weeks is doing this. Will be calling LG in the morning to get it worked on. Hopefully the warranty will cover this. Anyone else with this problem?
How can I be included in this suit? I’m having the same issues with my LG 50PC5D Plasma HDTV.
My LG tv 47LW6500 broke within 4 months of purchase. Now every two weeks LG service techinician is making house calls and I am staying home from work to engage him for to diagnose by trial and error where every part takes 2-3 weeks to be shipped. And customer service – oh my the worst of all. She yelled at me and shoved it face saying it is LG’s dicretion to deny replacement and as per their policy they can take any number of months to diagnose.
If you cant take off from work to engage, the only option left is to be stuck with broken TV
My 55LD520 is doing the same thing Flashes a second and won’t start up. Brought it July 2010. IMO this model also needs to be added to the Class action Law suit. Basicly I got $1400 Dollar TV that don’t work. Shouldn’t be alowed to sell this junk IMO.
My LG 42PC3D Plasma HDTV has sound but not picture. It burned too prematurely. I went to some blogs and they recommended to look at this class action suit.
