A limited amount of Great Value Honey Roasted Cashews distributed to stores in 30 states are part of an allergy recall for undeclared coconut and milk.

Individuals with an allergy or severe sensitivity to coconut or milk could have serious or life-threatening allergic reactions from consuming the undeclared ingredients.

The Great Value recall was issued by manufacturer John B. Sanfilippo & Son for 8.25-ounce plastic cans with a blue wrap around the label, a best if used by date of Jul 08 2025 GH2 and a UPC of 078742133348.

The undeclared allergen issue occurred when a limited number of labels for honey roasted cashews were incorrectly applied to plastic cans of coconut cashews during the manufacturing process, the cashews recall says.

No reports of allergic reactions, Great Value recall says

John B. Sanfilippo & Son says it has not received any reports of allergic reactions related to the recall so far. The company is not currently facing legal action over the recall, but Top Class Actions follows recalls closely as they sometimes lead to class action lawsuits.

Consumers should not consume the cashews and can return them to Walmart for a refund, the Great Value recall says.

John B. Sanfilippo & Son can be reached by phone at 1-800-874-8734 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CT, Monday through Friday, or by email at info@jbssinc.com.
