Ford Defective 6.0L Engine Class Action Lawsuit

The Ford engine class action lawsuit states that despite being launched with “great fanfare” in 2002, by the end of its short production life, Ford’s 6.0L Engines had unprecedented repair rates, accounted for approximately 80% of all of Ford’s warranty spending on engines, and forced Ford to assemble a team of approximately 70 engineers to assist Ford’s supplier in identifying and resolving problems.
“Ultimately, Ford sued its engine supplier, Navistar, for $493 million for what it termed ‘exceptionally high repair rates and warranty costs due to quality problems attributable to Navistar,’ including ‘design flaws,’” the class action lawsuit continues.
The defective Ford engine class action lawsuit says Ford documents show that (1) Ford knew about issues regarding the 6.0L Engine even before the engine’s launch; (2) the same core concerns persisted throughout Ford’s production and sale of the 6.0L Engine; (3) Ford never had a “definitive repair action” for these issues; (4) most, if not all of these concerns had a “common cause;” and (5) Ford ultimately adopted a band-aid approach to reduce its “warranty spend,” without addressing the “common causes” of these problems.
The Ford defective 6.0L diesel engine class action lawsuit is brought on behalf of all California entities and residents who currently own or lease (or previously owned or leased) a vehicle with a Ford 6.0L diesel engine. It is seeking numerous damages, including:
– Out-of-pocket damages for engine repair/service;
– Deductibles paid when repairs were covered by warranty;
– Towing charges incurred from having incapacitated vehicles towed in for repair;
– Lost profits from the inability to use vehicles when the engine failed, the vehicle being stored at a Ford dealership awaiting repair, or the vehicle being insufficiently reliable to be put into service;
– Cost to overhaul or replace the defective 6.0L Engines;
– Diminution in value of the vehicles due to the defect;
– Decreased trade-in or selling value; and more.

I have a 04 F250 6.0 and have last the EGR valve & Cooler along w/ the oil cooler–it is in the shop now and I don’t know what else they will find. Ford needs to make this right and reimburse us for our expense to replace these parts that ALL the Diesel shops indicate that these parts are destend to fail very early in the life of this engine. When your oil cooler or EGR valve & cooler fail–you get NO warning light on the dash to notify the driver of this failure. That is BS!!
I have a 2005 superduty with the 6.0 turbo went out that cost 3000.00 now the head gaskets, and head bolts thats a 5000.00 bill when will it all end please put me on this list I want to sue the you know what out of ford for this junk there selling, I cant believe all the people I keep running into with the same problems, please help???????
I bought a used 2006 F350 crewcab from a new car dealer with an extended warranty in Oct. 2011 and took a trip NY. to MT. on April 17,2012 when my turbo blew in New Lizbon WI on April 18,2012 They said i needed a new engine and they called the extended warr. co. & they would have to send out an inspector to check the engine. This took 5 days the inspector said only change the turbo, oil cooler, EGR cooler. The dealer did all that the inspector asked for and when they started my engine it sent more metal into the enging which blew the oil pump off the front of the engine. I then had to wait 5 more days for another inspector to come out to look and he would only approve a USED JUNK YARD engine to be installed in my truck which i only had 6 months and drove it for only 7,000 miles. It took the Warr. Co. 3 weeks to locate an engine for my truck and i didn’t get my truck back till May 17,2012 WOW!! Charles
Same think with mine have spent 830 so far and another 6000 is required to get it going again. blew hoses and all kinds of stuff related including a failed block test how can i sign up to be a part of this suit. im very upset dont have this kind of money losing work losing jobs over this.
How can I get into the lawsuit thx have spent $6000.00 and dealer said this is common problem have fixed them and seen them come back in with same thing in 6 months

I have a 2005 f250 6.0l The rads been replaced the turbo , now i have a leak in my head gasket and also some injectors have gone, I would really like to know how to get in on this lawsuit , so who do i get ahold of, i live in Ontario Canada, please let me know it would be greatly appreciated, I payed just under $80.000 CND for this truck I do not feel like spending another plus $15000 to $25000CND to get it back on road,please help
05 f-350 bought new, gone thru one turbo already and now the egr and oil coolers have failed. all maintenance has been done and on time. screw ford I want my money back on this POS
Bought my 04 used from a Ford dealer. It had a “buyback” title with a letter from Ford Motor Co. that the problem had been resolved. NOT! Spend a couple thousand dollars a year for repairs every year! Somebody please help!

Theese trucks were purchased for their supposed reliabillity, what a joke. Ford Motor Co. needs to offer compensation for excessive repairs
