If you filed a claim for the Ocwen program, keep an eye on your mailbox because checks are on their way!

screen-shot-2016-10-25-at-1-06-18-pmscreen-shot-2016-10-25-at-1The Ocwen misdated letters claim program resolves allegations initially brought by New York Department of Financial Services Superintendent Benjamin Lawsky.

According to Lawsky, possibly hundreds of thousands Owen borrowers received a letter denying a mortgage loan modification with erroneous information.

The borrowers allegedly received the denial letter which informed the recipient that they had 30 days to file an appeal. However, the date on the letter was set more than 30 days prior to the mailing date so borrowers may have thought the deadline to file an appeal had already passed.

Class Members included Ocwen borrowers who received a misdated letter between Jan. 1, 2012 and Dec. 31, 2014 and were then referred for foreclosure.

Ocwen voluntarily set aside $100 million to compensate eligible Class Members.

The deadline to file a claim for the Ocwen misdated letters claim program passed on May 2, 2016.

I haven’t received anything! They called my business cell, home cell, husbands cell, brothers cell and accidentally sold my property on the courthouse steps! I got a lawyer and they had to “ buy it back”. Omg- they are horrible and I haven’t received a notice, check… nothing…

Good luck I just received a payment today for $261.37 and remind you the letter received from ocwen stated 1600-3000 would be paid out to consumers but that was a lie so another scam and a bunch of bs. I was in my home for 10yrs and lost it due to the negligence of this company. Here is the number to call 866-591-7237 and good luck

Don’t hold Ur breath folks! I’ve already two letters postponing delivery of my claim starting in 2/2018. Each letter pushing delivery date out by forty five days. The last promise date for delivery was approximately thirty days after April 23rd. I called on May 16th to confirm this and was told it will be sent by June 23rd. What a joke! DO I HAVE ANY RIGHTS CONCERNING THIS RUN AROUND??

I received the bs payment for $261.37 today, I guess as consumers losing home really didn’t mean crap to the state of California, hell settlement of 225milion for ocwen to pay out to consumers servicing over 300 hundred thousand individuals still don’t add up to a pissy check of a few hundred dollars and we as the consumers lose out, what a freaking joke with these class bs action suits

    2. Nina WATSON says:

Hi Paula receive my $261.37 bs class action misdated check today here in California, remind you ocwen reached a 225million dollar settlement for California consumers and this is what we get after losing our homes and being forced to sell to avoid foreclosure. I cant believe this!!

  5. Dan Rodrigues says:

    1. Nina says:
