FDA Warns Morcellation May Spread Uterine Cancer

On April 17, 2014, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a Safety Communication advising medical care providers to avoid using a specific surgical procedure called morcellation. Their safety communication warns of the risk of aggravating cancer.
