The Menards class action settlement benefits consumers who purchased Menards Performax or Masterforce bonded abrasive wheels between June 10, 2018, and April 22, 2026.
The plaintiff in the class action lawsuit claims that Menards failed to disclose expiration dates on its Performax and Masterforce bonded abrasive wheels. As a result, consumers allegedly purchased these products without knowing they would expire.
Menards is a home improvement store that sells tools, building supplies, home goods and more.
Menards has not admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to a $775,000 class action settlement to resolve the class action lawsuit.
Under the terms of the Menards settlement, class members can receive either a replacement wheel or a cash payment.
Class members who purchased one or more covered products can receive a replacement wheel. The settlement provides $275,000 worth of replacement wheels, which have a maximum retail value of $3 each. Class members can receive up to five replacement wheels, depending on the number of products they purchased.
Class members who have proof of purchase for one or more covered products can receive a cash payment of up to $50. Payments will vary depending on the number of products purchased.
The deadline for exclusion and objection is July 7, 2026.
The final approval hearing for the Menards settlement is scheduled for Aug. 17, 2026.
To receive settlement benefits, class members must submit a valid claim form by July 7, 2026.
