The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website published the recall June 22. It applies to about 6.5 million Robo Alive Junior Baby Shark Sing & Swim Bath Toys and 1 million Robo Alive Junior Mini Baby Shark Swimming Bath Toys.
Zuru says it is aware of 12 reports of children falling or sitting onto the recalled full-size Baby Shark bath toy, resulting in impalement injuries, lacerations and puncture wounds, including to children’s genital, anorectal and facial areas.
Nine of the incidents required stitches or medical attention. There have been no reported incidents or injuries involving the Mini Baby Shark bath toys so far, the bath toy recall states.
Zuru is not facing legal action over the recall, but Top Class Actions follows recalls closely as they sometimes lead to class action lawsuits.

Zuru sold the recalled Baby Shark bath toys at Walmart, CVS, Dollar General, Family Dollar, HEB, Meijer, Target, TJX, Ross and Walgreens stores nationwide and online at walmart.com, target.com, amazon.com and other websites.
