Starbucks recall report does not detail cause of metal fragments
The Starbucks recall report does not state whether anyone has been injured by the metal fragments or the source of the fragments. It did also not state how the recall was discovered.
The company is not currently facing legal action over the recall, but Top Class Actions follows recalls closely as they sometimes end in class action lawsuits.
This is not the first espresso recall for Starbucks, which is owned by Pepsico Inc.
In March, Starbucks issued a major recall for more than 250,000 cases of Starbucks brand Doubleshot Espresso drinks as the drinks weren’t sealed properly. That meant the product, which contains milk, could spoil much quicker than it indicated on the packaging.Â
