Adam’s Polishes recalls hand sanitizer due to undeclared methanol

On Nov. 7, the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) website posted a recall notice for 20 lots of Adam’s Polishes Hand Sanitizer. The company initiated the recall after consumer safety watchdogs found one lot to contain undeclared methanol.

People who accidentally drink the product are at risk for methanol poisoning, the recall notice states. Substantial methanol poisoning can result in coma, seizures, permanent blindness, permanent damage to the central nervous system or death. So far, there have been no reports of injury, illness or other adverse events related to this recall.

Adam’s Polishes distributed the sanitizer nationwide to online customers between June 2020 and March 2022. It notified its customers by email. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product and email hs@adamspolishes.com to request a credit, according to the recall notice.

GM recalls more than 330,000 SUVs due to running light defect

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) posted a recall notice Nov. 3. that applies to 338,735 GM SUV vehicles. The 2021 Yukon, Yukon XL, Chevrolet Tahoe, Chevrolet Suburban, Cadillac Escalade and Cadillac Escalade ESV vehicles have an issue with their running lights that can increase the risk of a crash.

The daytime running lights on the recalled vehicles may not deactivate when the headlights are on, which can cause a glare, reducing visibility and increasing the risk of a crash. There have been no reports of crashes or injuries so far, according to GM.

Consumers can bring their vehicles to a dealer for a software update that fixes the issue, free of charge.

Generac recalls portable generators in US, Canada

Generac recalled more than 325,000 Generac portable generators after reports that an unlocked handle can pinch consumers’ fingers, resulting in several amputations and one crushed finger so far.

The seven types of recalled Generac portable generators can be found on the Consumer Protection Safety Commision (CPSC) announcement. The two-wheeled, gasoline-powered generators that retailed between $790 and $1,480 were sold at home improvement stores between June 2013 and June 2021.

Seven people have required finger amputations, and one consumer’s finger was crushed by the recalled Generac portable generators. Consumers should immediately stop using the product and contact Generac for a free repair kit, the recall notice states.

40,000 Tesla vehicles recalled due to faulty power steering system

Tesla recalled 40,000 model year 2017 to 2021 Model S and Model X vehicles after they were found to have a faulty power steering system.

The power steering assist on the vehicles may stop working on rough roads or potholes, according to the recall notice. Reduced or lost power steering assist does not affect steering control but could require greater steering effort from the driver, particularly at low speeds. Audio and visual alerts appeared on the instrument cluster notifying drivers or the loss of power.

Tesla has already released an over-the-air software update to recalibrate the power steering system and remedy the issue.

Nestle recalls edible chocolate chip cookie dough

On Nov. 3, the FDA posted a recall notice for 3 batches of Nestlé Toll House Edible Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. Nestle produced the cookie dough from Aug. 1 to Aug. 3, 2022.

It initiated the recall after consumers contacted it about a soft plastic film in the chocolate chip cookie dough. No illness or injuries have been reported so far in regards to the recall.

Nestle distributed the recalled cookie dough products to retailers nationwide, the recall says. The batch codes of the recalled cookie dough are 22135554RR, 22145554RR and 22155554RR. Consumers should not consume the product and can return it to the place of purchase for a replacement or refund.

Cadillac 2015 more on credit report than sapaugh Herculaneum mo provided me with and 2012 Cadillac I originally elected to purchase had emission issues but in turn the one they put me in without putting insurance on it cuz allegedly could get in contact with progressive , another lie, my insurance was 450 a month car payment 450 a month. They knew I’d have not kept the car. It had 72 diagnostic errors in just over a year. Valve canister selonoid and emissions and relay issues. Currently fixing to have legal financial issues due to accidents which clearly was failure of car as I barely had accidents until I got this vehicle.
