Candy Dynamics announced a recall for around 70 million of its Slime Licker Sour Rolling Liquid Candy products over concerns a rolling ball located in their container could detach inside a child’s mouth, posing a choking hazard.
The recall, which the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission published Oct. 5, involves Slime Licker Sour Rolling Liquid Candy sold in 2-ounce and 3-ounce containers in blue, red, green or pink packaging.
Candy Dynamics says it received two reports of the rolling applicator ball located inside the recalled candies detaching from its container but no injuries, according to the Slime Licker recall.
Recalled Slime Licker candies sold at Walmart, Five Below, other stores nationwide
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Slime Licker Sour Rolling Liquid Candy products and contact the company directly to receive a full product refund, according to the recall notice. The product must not be empty of the liquid candy.
Candy Dynamics sold the recalled Slime Licker Sour Rolling Liquid Candy products at Walmart, Five Below and other stores nationwide from June 2015 to July 2023 for $2 to $4.
