Veyer issued a recall for around 64,000 WorkPro office chairs over concerns they could pose a fall hazard.Â
The recall involves WorkPro Momentum office chairs with a heavy metal frame and the model number 8517865 for the black version and model number 2864384 for the gray version. Â
Veyer said it is concerned the bolts connecting the back of the recalled office chairs to their base could fail, causing a user to fall.Â
The company advises consumers to immediately stop using the recalled office chairs and to contact Veyer to receive a free repair kit.Â
Veyer received seven reports of consumer falls, resulting in two minor injuries
Veyer said it has received seven reports of consumers falling out of the recalled office chairs, resulting in a pair of minor injuries.Â
The recalled office chairs were sold at Office Depot and OfficeMax stores nationwide and on a variety of websites between October 2021 and September 2024 for around $430, according to the office chair recall.Â

TJX issued a similar recall in March 2023 for TJX office chairs sold in the U.S. and Canada. The TJX recall was initiated over concerns the chairs could break while in use, posing a fall hazard for consumers.Â
