A federal judge has granted final approval to a class action settlement between Verizon Communications Inc. and customers who say they were billed for unauthorized third-party charges to their landline phone bills. Class Members have until October 21, 2013, to receive either a $40 flat payment or a 100% refund of the unauthorized charges they paid.
Who’s Eligible
Class Members include all Verizon landline customers nationwide (including individuals, businesses and local governmental entities) who were billed for third-party charges from April 27, 2005 through February 28, 2012.

Basicly this whole thing is Bs.Verizon doesn’t want to pay any kind of refunds out.They are making up bogus claims so they won’t have to give you a cent.Gl to all those who thought they were getting money back.This is just another slap in the face by the phone company :/
This “lawsuit” was filed in 2009(?) and was FINALLY supposed to be paid..approx $40 (enough for about a 1/2 tank of gas) last year. Now the LIARS (er Lawyers) have extended probably most of the “class” with a bogus rebuttal AFTER the settling of the “lawsuit”….. Can ANYONE find their 2008 verizon bills??? I may be able to. Did they “repay” the customers they cheated? The ‘rebuttal form’ or “challenge form” said they refunded some charges in 11/08 but the “support document” shows a phony acct/phone #, ILD Aggregator record showing post billing adjustment for PBA VMAIL MTHLY FEEs from 3 OTHER months refunded in MAY 2008??? LAWYERS (or LIARS) should learn to pay attention to detail(S) It now appears I am lowed many MORE months of charges…..NEW REAL C.A.S. with REAL lawyers including a recoupong of all the fees the phony disreputable…….

I was scammed by verizon between 1999 to 2003
well i have verizon and the service sucks im paying all this money and i cant log in the internet go’s off everytime and i had to cancel my plan and go to another
i had verzion for 3 months and im getting problems with internet and my phone cut off rite after i paid my bill the bill was $120.00 i paid that then they tell me i own them $50 more or they are not going to put my phone back on so i paid the $50 and just cancelled my plan contract
I had verzion in my name but the service didn’t work properly as what they said as a landmind and my internet that was along with anonymous high bill
I am conviced Verizon is a criminal entity. I am part of Group 1 and still haven’t been paid my stolen money. I have NEVER had so many problems with a company in my life. Turning 50 soon. Confirmation numbers are useless, records are routinely lost, mistakes in their favor only happen all the time, lying occurs. I finally cancelled my service with a penalty and will NEVER go back no matter what.
I missed and didn’t know about class action suits but when i had surgeries several times i couldn’t believe that i was billed $300.00 on one occassion for 4 days.my husband was pissed.another was 700..I didn’t know that this was actually going on and that said pay or your credit is ruined!!
