Pocket Hose settlement

Telebrands Corporation has agreed to settle a class action lawsuit alleging it made false and misleading statements regarding its Pocket Hose expandable garden hoses. If you purchased Pocket Hose products, you may be entitled to a cash payment from this class action settlement.

The Pocket Hose class action lawsuit alleges Telebrands made false and misleading statements in connection with the sale and marketing of certain Pocket Hose products. The plaintiffs also assert that the Pocket Hose products are defective.

The Pocket Hose was reportedly first introduced through television infomercials. The expandable garden hose was advertised as “a rugged and durable garden hose” that is “strong enough for any job.”

However, consumers have complained that the Pocket Hose is defective because it is prone to leak or burst when used in the manner advertised. This defect renders the Pocket Hose useless, the consumers allege.

Telebrands denies any wrongdoing but agreed to settle the Pocket Hose class action lawsuit to avoid the expense and uncertainty of litigation. The Telebrands class action settlement was preliminarily approved on Nov. 4, 2016.

If you would like to exclude yourself from or object to the Pocket Hose settlement, you must do so no later than Feb. 20, 2017.

Telebrands has previously agreed to settle a class action lawsuit involving similar allegations. That Pocket Hose settlement provided cash benefits to consumers who purchased the products between Nov. 6, 2009 and Jan. 30, 2014.

I filed for this settlement in Dec. 2016 and immediately received a confirmation number. I understand checks were received starting May 15, however, I haven’t gotten mine as of today (5/17). I tried to contact Pocket Hose at the email addresses provided on their website (info@pockethosesettlement.com and questions@hosesettlement.com) but both attempts came back as “undeliverable”. I called the toll-free number and left my information, but I don’t think this was the correct contact. Does anyone have another way to get in touch with the Pocket Hose Claims Administrator to track my claims award? Thanks.

      2. Mark says:

Has anyone received a check yet? I emailed the administrator and was told checks were mailed by May 3rd and that it will take usps 4-6 weeks to process it. I know that USPS does not take that long to mail a letter/check. So I wonder what is really going on.

Received $30 check today. It was dated for 12th so the date they gave was a lie.
